...Anawangin to remember...
(Photo Diary)
It was my first time to camp out at Anawangin Island, and it was a wonderful (3D/2N) experience for me.
It was a worthwhile 3-4 hours travel by land, because i was travelling with FUN company. And when we reached Pundaquit, where we parked our transport vehicle, we then boarded a boat (boat-ride of about 30 minutes) taking us to the isolated island of Anawangin.
*Check out their site for bookings Anawangin Package Tours
FYI: Bring your SUNSCREEN Lotion!!
and a wide-brimmed hat! I did take one with me, unfortunately, it (hat) was blown away during our boat ride to Anawangin. :(((
What to expect when visiting/staying/camping in the island?
*No Mobile Signal
*No Internet/WiFi (ofcourse!haha)
*No Hotel/Apartelle
*No Electricity
So, youll make use of:
*Camping Tents
*Kubo/Bamboo House Rental of 1k/night
*Powerbanks for your gadgets!
*Bonfire :)
..Carefree.. |
..Taken at Camara Island... |
It is a picturesque place, every corner is picture perfect :)
I did not have an SLR or a hi-qual camera with me, not even a GoPro, but I was still able to capture some good shots using my phone (Samsung S4) :)
I recommend you bring a good camera/GoPro when you visit the place.
..Clear, beautiful water.. |
..sunset.. BEAUTIFUL |
..Sunset kiss.. |
..The best view.. |
Pondering after sunrise :) |
Other things to bring:
*Playing Cards
*A Good Book
*Scarf that doubles as a picnic mat (mine was used both ways LOL)
*Music Player and Speaker
*A LOT of Stories and Jokes to share during bonfires
(Crap-face) haha. The moment we landed :) |
We availed of a tour package with meal inclusions good for 3 days.
Imagine the hassle of cooking food for 10 people without gas/stove?
Our cooks boarded with us, and food was good :)
But if you are feeling cast-away-ish or survivor-ish (sorry for the lingo ;p), you can opt out having people prepare meals for you, but be ready with your "fire-making-skills" and whatnot.

We did our groceries in advance, so we are pretty stocked. LOL
Our menu included:
*Grilled Liempo/Pork Chop/Chicken
*Sinigang na Isda/Sinigang na Hipon
*Longganisa/Hotdog/Hard boiled Egg (Breakfast meals)
And if you happen to run out of stocks, there are 3-4 sari-sari stores in the island. They sell softdrinks, beer, chips etc.
