Photo Diary: Oslob Whale Watching, Cebu

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I am so so happy to share this amazing experience I recently had during my trip to Cebu!

Yes! I went to see Oslob and went swimming with the whales :-) :-) :-)
I was sooooooo excited! You can see that right? The way I write haha.

So close to this wonderful, calm creature :-)

It was a 3-4 hrs drive from Cebu City, we boarded a Ceres bus for P165.00 to Tan-awan, and the rates for the Whale Shark experience differs from that of the local/Pinoy and foreign visitors.

Whale watch aboard boat --- 300.00 / Local
                                                                                               500.00 / Foreigner
Whale watch and swim     --- 500.00 / Local
                                                                                               1,000.00 / Foreigner
                                                       Entrance fee           --- 100.00
                                               Action Camera Rental  --- 550.00

Fancy boat ride :p

It surfaced! Woooh! :-)

The water wasn't calm, but still an amazing view of the clear water and the whales (about 2 of them at the time of my visit) were clearly visible under water :-)
The visitors were mostly comprised by foreigners (Australians, Koreans, Americans, etc.)
and a handful Filipinos :-)

That's after my first dive :-)

I was literally inches away!!
Briefing regarding whale interaction is compulsary (naturally), you should not touch the whale or swim too close to them.

As you seek new adventures, you discover more of yourself.
You realize the limits you set for yourself, and the factors that pushes you to extend those limits. :-)

Fish out of water :-)

Explore. Explore. Explore.
And in the process of exploring, you mindlessly create a new beginning of a habit, a creation of a new and better self, and an addition to a growing database of experiences :-)
I'm glad I took the plunge! Literally! :-)

..Butterfly..

When visiting Cebu, I suggest you make it a point to see Oslob!
Truly an unforgettable experience! Plus, there are plenty of diving spots there! :)

Done!

...Serene...

It is important for anyone to go out and just explore the things out there, things that you dont always get to do :)
I believe experiences that are out of the ordinary, adds brighter colors to ones already interesting life. Something that you could proudly tell your future self that, "Yes! I conquered my fear of being near a sea creature larger than myself!".

Bye - bye for now!

Go Forth and Enjoy Life!
